PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device that reads a signal from a photoelectric conversion section at a high-speed and obtains a signal with a small noise component. SOLUTION: The image pickup device is characterized in that it includes the photoelectric conversion section, an impedance conversion means that processes a signal from the photoelectric conversion section, a 1st switch means that supplies a bias to the impedance conversion means, a 2nd switch means that is connected between a bias source and the impedance conversion means, and a synchronization means that synchronizes driving of the 1st switch means with driving of the 2nd switch means.
