PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the frequency characteristics of the coupling amount, insertion loss, and reflection loss of a branch transformer. SOLUTION: The branch transformer 6 is constituted of a core 10, main signal and grounding windings 2 and 7, branch signal and grounding windings 4 and 8. The main grounding winding 7 is wound five turns around the main winding section 3 of the core 10, and the main signal winding 2 is wound three turns around the section 3 alternately with the grounding winding 7. The branch grounding winding 8 is wound five turns around the branch winding section 5 of the core 10, and the branch signal winding 4 is wound three turns around the section 5 alternately with the winding 8. In addition, the main signal winding 2 wound around the main winding section 3 is brought into contact with the central winding section 9 of the core 10 through a through hole 1a by extending the winding 2 and further wound around a branch-side magnetic core 5 by one turn after passing through another through hole 1b. Finally, the output end 2b of the main signal winding 2, the grounded end 7a of the main grounding winding 7, and the non-branched end 4b of the branch signal line 4 are respectively connected to the nongrounded end of the branch grounding winding 8, the grounded end 8a of the winding 8, and the nongrounded end 7b of the winding 7 by respectively twisting the ends together.
