PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external connection device for a mobile phone that stops only the wireless communication function of the mobile phone and allows even surrounding people to easily and visually confirm the stop state. SOLUTION: An external connection device 20 for the mobile phone is provided with a termination resistor 21, which connects with an antenna connection terminal 12 and an antenna ground side connection terminal 13 provided to change over an antenna 11 built in the mobile phone 10 to an external antenna so as to terminate the terminals, thereby stopping the transmission/reception operation of radio waves of the antenna 11 of the mobile phone 10. Furthermore, a message denoting the stop state of the radio wave transmission/reception operation is provided to the surface of the external connection device 20, or the shape of the external connection device 20 itself simulates an image character representing the observance of communication manners so as to allow even surrounding people to easily and visually recognize the stop state of the mobile phone 10.
