PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device in which the generation of an unusual image caused by the difference between the environment that is familiarized by the start material in a developing device and the setting up environment of the image forming device main body is prevented when the developing device is mounted on the main body. SOLUTION: When the developing device is mounted on the main body and an initial condition setting sequence is started, a developing sleeve or the like is rotated, a standard control voltage value V0 of an inductance sensor and a standard output voltage value Vref are read from a table, a sensor control voltage is varied, a start developer concentration is detected and a control voltage value V10 which becomes the value Vref is obtained. On the other hand, an absolute water amount X of the environment in the device main body is obtained by an environmental sensor, the value V0 is corrected by the amount X to obtain an after correction control voltage value V1. Then, the values V1 and V10 are compared and when the difference between the values V1 and V10 is equal to or less than a prescribed value Y, the value V1 is used as it is. When the difference is equal to or greater than the value Y, the value V10 is set to a new standard control voltage value and concentration detection is conducted by the sensor using the value V10. At the same time, the control voltage value is returned to the value V1 after passing a computed change time. |
