PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver including a front input terminal the input image mode of which is automatically switched by connecting an external device to the front input terminal and transmitting a signal to the television receiver. SOLUTION: A video signal detection means 3 detects a video input from the front input terminal 1, when the detection means 3 detects the video input, a control means 4 switches a signal changeover means 5 to supply the signal received from the front input terminal to a sound processing means 6 and a signal processing means 8. Thus, when the television receiver receives the signal from the front input terminal, the input image mode is automatically switched.
