PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital still camera provided with a monitor section set to a 1st state where the monitor section is fallen to a camera main body and closed and a 2nd state where the monitor section is raised from the camera main body and opened and with a microphone to record sound as well as an image, that reduces the effect of noise produced from the camera main body with a simple configuration to enhance the quality of the recorded sound. SOLUTION: The microphone is placed inside the monitor section. A pressing face of a release button is formed rugged to prevent a finger from being caught by the release button due to sweat.
