PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device that can correct the color in a printer without using a convenient expensive colorimeter, but using a 'RGB-to-colorimetric value conversion table'. SOLUTION: This device for correcting the color in a printer is constituted of an arithmetic image processing computer 20 in an image processor constituted of a scanner 10, an arithmetic processing computer 20 unit for image, and a printer 30. In order to arrange the colors of an image outputted from a printer in order, the computer 20 is provided at least with the 'RGB-to-colorimetric value conversion table' 21 which converts the RGB signal values of inputted colored image information into colorimetric values, a 'reference printer/currently used printer correction LUT' 24 which indicates the relation between the colorimetric values of a reference printer and a currently used printer by comparing the colorimetric values with each other, and a 'colorimetric value-to-YMCK conversion table' 23 which converts colorimetric values into printer outputs by referring to the LUT 24.
