PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To substantially enhance central brightness of a high-beam distribution pattern in addition to maintaining a fog-lamp light distribution pattern at nearly even, for a headlamp for a vehicle so constructed as to perform beam switching between a high-beam distribution pattern and a fog-lamp light distribution pattern with an H4 halogen bulb provided. SOLUTION: It is so constructed that beam radiation with a fog-lamp light distribution pattern is done by lighting of a front filament 18a and beam radiation with a high-beam distribution pattern is done by a rear filament 18b. An outer shade 22 is provided around an H4 halogen bulb 18 for blocking light directed toward a peripheral part of a reflecting face 20a from among light directed from the front filament toward the reflecting face 20a without being blocked by an inner shade 18c. With a non-light-incident peripheral area (20s (L6, R6)) into which light from the front filament 18a is blocked from entering by the light shielding action of the outer shade 22, light from the rear filament 18b is reflected toward the center part of the high-beam distribution pattern to form a hot zone. |
