PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a character input correction of a device, in which characters to be inputted are circulatingly changed and inputted one character each at a preset order by the number of times of pressed-down keys, requiring of pressing down keys for many times. SOLUTION: When a first character to be corrected is inputted by tapping same keys for a plurality of times, it is redivided into a row of a second character inputted by tapping once less than the times of the tapping and a third character inputted when the same key is tapped once (steps 501-503). This constitution can quickly correct the character erroneous input occurring by tapping the same key once more than the tapping times necessary for inputting the characters to be inputted originally into the row of the second character to be inputted originally and the third character of the first order to be inputted by tapping the key.
