PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a geared motor capable of preventing parts from being damaged because of high speed rotation of a loop row at the time of disengaging a clutch means. SOLUTION: This geared motor has an output shaft 3, the clutch means 22, and a clutch operating mechanism 5. The clutch means 22 becomes an engaging condition by stopping the rotation of a gear on either side of gears 33, 34 with the clutch operating mechanism 5. The geared motor is constituted so as to transmit power from a rotor 11 to the output shaft 3 through a driving gears 2A connected to the other gear. The clutch operating mechanism 5 comprises a clutch switching member 25 of switching the clutch means 22 from disengagement to engagement by stopping the rotation of an engagement gear 27, and switching the clutch means 22 from engagement to disengagement by stopping the rotor 11 and disengaging the engagement with the engagement gear 27 as a result of magnetic induction being gone. A rotational speed adjusting member 27c for adjusting the rotational speed of the output shaft 3 is provided in an accelerating loop row 2B.
