<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data encoding unit which is capable of carrying out an encoding process faster than conventional, a data encoding method, and a camera system. SOLUTION: First, prescribed write addresses W-ADD are generated corresponding to the entry sequence of data T-K and stored in the corresponding addresses of a storage 30. The last of the write addresses of non-zero data T-K in a read sequence is detected in the storage 30 by an EOB detector 60. Then, read addresses R-ADD are generated successively, and data are read out from the addresses of the storage 30 and outputted to an encoder 50. When the read address R-ADD does not match the address detected by the EOB detector 60, data R-DATA are successively encoded by the encoder 50. When the read address R-ADD matches the address detected by the EOB detector 60, the data of the address are encoded, then a code EOB is generated, and an encoding operation is finished.</p> |
