PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating electric machine which can achieve a small size, a high output, high efficiency, and a low cost, even if different types of windings with different generated voltages are combined. SOLUTION: A vehicle AC generator has a stator, composed of armature windings 23 comprising two sets of three-phase windings 23A and 23B, and a rectifier 5. The one set of the three-phase windings 23A comprises a U-phase winding, a V-phase winding, and a W-phase winding which are delta-connected. The other set of the three-phase windings 23B comprises an X-phase winding, a Y-phase winding, and a Z-phase winding which are respectively connected in series with three junctions 26A, 26B, and 26C of the three-phase windings 23A. The two sets of the three-phase windings 23A and 23B are arranged with a difference in an electrical angle ofπ/6 shifted between each other.
