PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a conventional portable communication device with a camera has caused a camera-shake or by which a user cannot have engaged exclusively in photographing when an incoming call arrives during photographing. SOLUTION: The portable communication unit of this invention stops its wireless communication function in a photographing mode or during photographing. The wireless communication function is automatically stopped and automatically restarted after the end of photographing or when the photographing mode is switched into a communication mode. Thus, the user photographing an object can be engaged exclusively in the photographing without taking notice of the arrival of an incoming call.
