PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change data collection by a TDC method and data collection by an ADC method over to each other in accordance with the pulse number in a detector signal by using a plural number of systems of TDC circuits by a level detection method. SOLUTION: Threshold value levels of comparators 2 of the TDC circuits A, B are different from each other. A change-over signal is output from a control circuit 20. The change-over signal is 0 at the time of a TDC mode and 1 at the time of an ADC mode. A shift data and a time code are written in an FIFO memory 11 and taken in a computing circuit 30 only in the case when a bit of 1 in value exists in a shift data of a shift register 10 at the time of the TDC mode. The shift data of the shift register 10 is written in the FIFO memory 11 with the time code without fail with timing of a writing signal from a dividing circuit 4 at the time of the ADC mode.
