PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the safety of passengers considered to decline accompanying the unmanning of a station. SOLUTION: This safety BOX 1 for a railroad station is provided with a box-like main body 10 installed at an unmanned station forming the entrance ET of a size through which the passenger can enter and the internal space SP, a video conference system 20 installed inside the main body 10 by which bidirectional conversations from the passenger to the station staff present somewhere other than the unmanned station are enabled, a freely openable and closable shutter 11 installed at the entrance of the main body 10 and an emergency door button 16 installed inside the main body 10 for automatically closing the shutter 11 so as not to let a person other than the passenger into the main body 10 by the operation of the passenger. |
