<p>The seal (5) has a lip (12) of a relatively soft material, such as rubber, having its contact edge (13) covered with a relatively hard material (15). The harder material is in the form of a cover that clips onto the contact edge of the lip, or an overmoulded layer produced by coextrusion. The seal can be used for example for a motor vehicle windscreen wiper with linear action, having an arm driven by an electric motor so that it travels between a pair of seals attached to the windscreen and body.</p> |
