PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set by which a user can recognize the location of the telephone set at a glance at the arrival of an incoming call at night and can easily discriminate a caller by lighting up a light emitting diode in various colors depending on the caller number. SOLUTION: A type of material transmitting through a light of a light emitting diode mounted inside the telephone set is adopted for the material of an enclosure of the telephone set. Thus, the entire telephone set is illuminated by the light of the light emitting diode mounted in the inside and the caller number is distinguished by the luminescent color.
