PROCESS FOR PREPARING TERTIARY AMINES

PURPOSE: A process for preparing a tertiary amine is provided to obtain a tertiary amine product having a high purity at a high yield with a low cost. CONSTITUTION: The process for preparing a tertiary amine is performed according to the following reaction scheme, wherein X is an alkylene group and £M| is a metal catalyst. In particular, the process comprises the steps of: reacting the dicarboxylic acid derivatives(2) with dimethyl amine(3) to form a diamide(4), and reducing the diamide(4) by the direct hydrogenation in the presence of a metal catalyst to obtain the tertiary amine(1).
