PURPOSE: An air bag module of drivers with an annular air bag is provided to supply a central control module fixed on a steering wheel, to install an air bag and a cover around the central control module, and to support visual displays for high-priced navigation system, control or communication devices and mechanism without disturbance of unfolding the air bag. CONSTITUTION: An air bag module(20) is composed of an air bag(80) including a face panel having a first central opening inside, a rear panel having a second central opening inside and forming a neck portion(67) of the second central opening. A tubular inlet has an open end secured to the face panel about the first central opening, includes a closed end opposite to the open end, and is extended into the air bag. Sides of the tubular inlet include at least one opening. An inflatable portion has the open end secured about at least one opening and is moved into the center of the tubular inlet. |
