<p>The invention concerns an elevator device (1) comprising a support structure and at least one laterally fixed column (10) equipped with a hoistable load carrier (19), which is mounted for pivotal movement about the column (10), and with a lifting unit (3) and a power unit (2), said units (2, 3) preferably mounted on the support structure to allow displacement of the load carrier (19) vertically along the column (10). The elevator device is characterised in that a follower (7) and a guide (12) are arranged to engage one another in a groove (8) in a point of contact located between the load carrier (19) and the support structure, either the guide (12) or the follower (7) arranged to be fixed relative to the pivotal plane of the load carrier (19), thus causing a relative motion between the load carrier (19) and the column (10), whereby the load carrier (19) is forced to pivot about the column (10) while being displaced vertically.</p> |
