PURPOSE: To provide a terminal which surely and stably contacts with a conductor, and a connector having the terminal. CONSTITUTION: For the terminal having a contact portion 16 which passes through a sheath of a cable C having a conductor C1 composed of a plurality of element wires projects into and contacts with the conductor and is formed a lead edge of a metal plate extending a plane including a projecting direction into the conductor and a longitudinal direction of the conductor, the sectional form in a plane perpendicular to the above plane of the contact portion has a substantially V-shaped projected head 16B located at the center thereof and pressing portions 16A located on both sides of the projected portion and extending at a greater angle than the projected portion in the projecting direction.
