<p>The present invention relates to a method and system for providing a service in a communication network. A service script is used to control a service execution functional unit to execute the service, wherein an execution priority is allocated to the service script based on the kind of service. Furthermore, a service logic of the service may be provided at a service execution functional unit, and the service script may comprise a service description of the service. The service execution functional unit is then controlled based on the service description to execute the service by using the service logic. Thus, the service script does not contain the service logic, and a flexible service script concept can be provided. Moreover, the signaling traffic can be reduced since the operator does not have to update service scripts for a large amount of subscribers.</p> |
