An information processor capable of displaying a plurality of windows on a display screen comprises a video memory (48) for a display (2) and a processing unit (40) for providing an external monitor (3) with the image data of a specific window in the video memory. Of a plurality of windows currently displayed on the screen, a specified window is thus displayed on the external monitor; only the specified window can be displayed on the large screen whereas unwanted windows are not displayed. Computer multitasking can be realized while large display can be enjoyed.
