A self-contained regulating valve having a spool (13) axially movable in the internal space of a cylindrical valve main body (11), wherein one pressure (P1) is applied to one end surface of the spool (13) while the other pressure (P2) is applied to the other end surface, the spool (13) being formed with a through-hole (13a), so that when the difference between one pressure (P1) and the other pressure (P2) exceeds a set value, the through-hole (13a) communicates with a pipe line (12) connected to the valve main body (11), thus establishing the open state.
