The invention concerns a method for collimating a digital panoramic image (PI1) derived from at least a wide-angle initial image whereof the image points are transferred into a three-dimensional co-ordinate system. The invention is characterised in that the method comprises: a step which consists in inserting a collimating mark on the initial image when the shot is made; and a step which consists in detecting the location (461) of the collimating mark in the digital panoramic image (PI1), using an image analysing algorithm.
