The machine-side end (4) of the flexible plastic catheter (2) has an attachment-piece (5). The steel cannula, movably mounted in the catheter, protrudes out of the patient-side end of the catheter, when the cannula is fully inserted. A ground section forms a sloping opening (7) for injecting the patient's skin and vein . A sideways-protruding handle(8) is positioned at the machine-side end and protrudes at the side of the cannula facing the opening.
