Water-proofing textiles - with aq emulsions contg methylolaminotriazine derivs with fatty acid amides

Textiles are rendered permanently water-repellent by treatment with aq. emulsions having a 1-18 wt.% total solids content and contg. w r t dry wt of components (a) to (d): (a) 17-86% of >=1 reaction prod of a methylolaminotriazine with higher fatty acid amides or with higher fatty acid amides and higher fatty acids and/or higher alcohols, (b) 8-77% of >=1 water-repellent waxy material soluble in (a), (c) 0.7-14 % of >=1 water-soluble, non-ionogenic polyethyleneglycol deriv. contg. 6-200 -CH2-CH2-O- gps/molecule and >=1 water-repellent residue of an org. cpd formed by scission of a reactive H-atom and directly bonded to a polyethyleneglycol chain, (d) 0.4-13% of >=1 alkylbenzene sulphonic acid salt of a colourless metal cation, in which alkyl gp./s contain >8 C and (e) >=1 hardening catalyst; where (a) + (b) content is 85-96% and (c) + (d) content is 4.5-15% (w.r.t. dry wt.).
