<p>A seal material allowing less amount of air to pass therethrough in the direction orthogonal to a squeezing direction, providing excellent sealability and high rate of elastic deformation, squeezed between members, formed of synthetic resin or rubber foam body, and manufactured by inserting a needle punch (5) inserted from both sides thereof in the squeezing direction to provide needle holes therein, wherein the ratio (A/B) of the amount of ventilation (A) in the squeezing direction when the seal material is not compressed to the amount of ventilation (B) in the direction orthogonal to the squeezing direction when the seal material is compressed by 50% in the squeezing direction is 1 to 40.</p> |
