A model(4) of a lining with undercut contors(H) is produced, covered in a grained leather skin(3) and used with a splittable tool part(1,1a) to form a negative silicone molding(2). The silicone molding is removed after splitting the tool part, placed with straightened undercuts onto a modified splittable tool part and a female model produced in the tool cavity created. A nickel shell is then produced on the female model and used with a substructure and another tool part to form a skin casting tool.
