The antenna forms an integral part of an airship's envelope or an aircraft's fabric with periodic and quasi-periodic structures as flat metal structures on one or more dielectric bearer layers applied directly to or integrated into the envelope or fabric. The radio cells of a cellular radio network are produced by suitable segmented control of such an antenna system.
