Sound-proof laminated glass with a plastic interlayer comprises plasticized polyvinylbutyral, in which the plasticizer mixture contains 30-70 wt.% polyalkylene glycol(s) and/or etherated derivatives of it. Sound-proof glazing comprises laminated glass in which the plastic interlayer contains (A) 50-80 wt.% PVB (polyvinyl alcohol partly acetalized with butyraldehyde) and (B) 20-50 wt.% of a plasticizer mixture containing 30-70 wt.% polyalkylene glycol(s) comprising (b1) compounds of formula HO-(R-O)n-H (I), where R : alkylene; and n : more than 5, (b2) block copolymers of ethylene and propylene glycol of formula HO-(CH2CH2O)n-(CH2CH[CH3]O)m-H, where n : more than 2; m : more than 3; n/m : more than 0.3; and (n+m) : less than 25, (b3) ether derivatives of (b2) with the group R1 at either end, where R1an organic residue, and (b4) derivatives of polyalkylene glycols of formula R1-O-(R2-O)n-H, with the group R1 replacing one or both terminal H atoms, where R2ethylene or butylene; and n : at least 2. An independent claim is also included for a sound-insulating film containing (A) and (B) as above, for the production of sound-proof glazing.
