A metal casing is sprayed onto a foundation consisting of a synthetic foam body contoured exactly to the required metal body but slightly smaller and having a non-porous surface with a dense external zone and porous less dense core. Pref. the foundation is polyurethane foam and the metal casing is sprayed in layers and then polished.
