A method for authenticity monitoring of data files, in which the data regularly filed in a data file (D), especially the data files or scanning data, are flanked with a time point field (Z) for storing their detection- and/or formation- and/or alteration time points. Further, the data available in the data fields and in the time-point field (Z) are encoded as required and at least form one original verification number (NZ,NI,ND) and in which the data fields (D) and/or the time point field (Z) and/or the original verification module (NZ,NI,ND) are transmitted to an independent security number for verification of the document genuineness.
