The invention relates to combustion chambers of gas-turbine engines, in particular engines provided with flame control units including the combustion chambers of the gas-turbine engines for afterburning. Said invention is characterised in that the inventive combustion chamber of a gas-turbine engine comprises a mixing area with fuel injectors, a combustion area and a stabiliser provided with orifices connected to the combustion area which is arranged behind the stabiliser. The combustion chamber is improved by an additional baffle introduced into the mixing area. Said baffle is provided with orifices and disposed prior to the stabiliser. An additional protective cavity connected to the mixing area by means of an orifice (6) embodied in the baffle is formed between the screen and the stabiliser. Said baffle can be embodied in the form of a grid. In order to maintain a specified distance between the baffle and the stabiliser, fasteners abutting the baffle and the stabiliser are arranged therebetween. The baffle and the stabiliser can be equidistantly disposed. The invention makes it possible to exclude the ignition of fuel and gas from the hot stabiliser in the mixing area, thereby preventing it from burnout and melting and improving the reliability thereof. Said invention also makes it possible to reduce the length of a mixing section, thereby positively affecting the external dimensions and weight of the combustion chamber and the engine.
