PURPOSE: A protection circuit against excess charging/discharging of battery in vacuum cleaner is provided to extend service time of the battery and to prevent reduced efficiency thereof. CONSTITUTION: The circuit comprises DC input terminal(10) to pass DC current to charge a battery(40), overcharging protection part(20) and over-discharging protection part(30). The overcharging protection part(20) is for charging the battery(40) by using DC power source and stopping the charge of battery by supplying trace of current. The over-discharging protection part(30) is for driving a vacuum motor(50) of the cleaner by supplying power from the battery(40) and for blocking current flow applied to the vacuum motor(50) when the discharged voltage is below determined value.
