Testing tire pressure of vehicle with pneumatic tires by indicating e.g. low tire pressure when high wheel speed is detected

When traveling in a straight line, the rotation speed of the wheels is measured. When the measured speeds deviate from each other by more than a predetermined tolerance, a warning signal is generated indicative of different tire pressures. When traveling around a bend, the speed of the wheels is measured, and the theoretic wheel speeds calculated. The sensors of an antilock breaking system may be used to measure the wheel speeds.
