PURPOSE: To provide a high frequency superimposed module for an optical pickup, in which the miniaturization is easily available by reducing the number of components and the turn-off of an oscillation circuit is also allowed at the time of turn-off of the power source for DC current of a laser diode, and to provide the optical pickup using the module. CONSTITUTION: The oscillation circuit 12 for supplying the high frequency current to the laser diode 1 includes at least one active element Q1 and passive elements such as capacitors C1-C3, resistors R1-R3 and inductors L1, L2. A power source for supplying the DC current to the laser diode is also used for the oscillation circuit 12.
