The present invention is directed toward a composition comprising a hydrophylic polymer and at least one aminoalcohol, the aminoalcohol being present in an amount ranging from about 10 to 80 wt % based on the total weight of the composition. Another embodiment of the present invention comprises a membrane suitable for use in separating C02 from gas streams containing C02, especially H2 rich gas streams containing C02 and CO.
