<p>The invention provides novel polynucleotides and polypeptides encoded by such polynucleotides and mutants or variants thereof that correspond to a novel human secreted leukocyte immunoglobulin receptor-like polypeptide. These polynucleotides comprise nucleic acid sequences isolated from cDNA libraries prepared from a cDNA library prepared from human leukocyte mRNA (GIBCO Laboratories) (SEQ ID NO: 1, SEQ ID NO: 16); from infant brain mRNA (Columbia University) (SEQ ID NO: 35); from human mammary gland mRNA (Invitrogen) (SEQ ID NO: 47); and from bone marrow mRNA (Clontech) (SEQ ID NO: 63). Other aspects of the invention include vectors containing processes for producing novel human secreted LIR-like polypeptides, and antibodies specific for such polypeptides.</p> |
