<p>A drive component(7) in the form of a hydraulic cylinder to effect movement of the hood compartment cover is mounted stationary on the body of the vehicle, and to transmit power a linkage(9) is provided between the drive component and section of the hood compartment cover furthest from the hinge mounting(5). The drive component is mounted horizontally on the body and the piston rod(11) is retractable and extendable in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle.</p> |
