METHOD FOR CONNECTING COMPOSITE PIPES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To strongly connect composite pipes excellent in pressure resistance mutually by butt fusion and to simplify connection work. SOLUTION: The reinforcing layers 12 and outer layers 13 of the ends of the composite pipes 10' are preliminarily removed by cutting or the like. After the ends of the respective composite pipes 10' are heated and melted, the ends of the respective composite pipes 10' are abutted mutually and the ends of the inner layers 11 of these composite pipes 10' are mutually fused. Further, the range removing each reinforcing layer is set to a range from the end surfaces of each composite pipe to 0.3-1.5 times of the wall thickness of each inner layer.
