PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment-sensitized photoelectric converting element exhibiting a high open electric voltage, a photocell and a complex pigment useful for them. SOLUTION: This photoelectric converting element contains semiconductor fine particles sensitized by the complex pigment expressed by the following general formula (I): M(L1)m1(L2)m2(L3)m3.CI...(I) [wherein, M is a metal atom; L1 is a specific 2 or 3 coordination-sited ligand having a condensed ring containing a pyridine ring having >=2 acid group or a pyridine ring; L2 is a specific 2 or 3 coordination-sited ligand having 5 or 6-membered ring; L3 is a 1 or 2 coordination-sited ligand; (m1) is 1-3 integer; (m2) is 0-2 integer; (m3) is 0-4 integer; and CI is a counter ion in the case of requiring the counter ion for neutralizing a charge]. The photocell is characterized by using the above photoelectric converting element. |
