PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To normally and stably operate an optical semiconductor device over a long period of time by improving the reliability on the hermetic seal of a container for housing the optical semiconductor device. SOLUTION: One end side of a cylindrical metallic optical fiber fixing member 8 is brazed on the circumference of the outside opening of a through hole 1b formed in the side part of a base body 1 made of ceramics. A first brazing material layer 10a is coated on the circumference of the outside opening of the through hole 1b, and one end side of the optical fiber fixing member 8 is brazed by a second brazing material layer 10b having a fusing point lower than that of the first brazing material layer 10a through the first brazing material layer 10a. |
