METHOD FOR COATING PAVED SURFACE WITH PHOTOCATALYTIC LAYER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for coating a paved surface with a photocatalytic layer being capable of reducing the abrasion wear of the photocatalytic layer and being advantageous on air purification for a prolonged term. SOLUTION: A photocatalytic material for fixation in which titanium dioxide particles are mixed with a special cement fixative is prepared. Water and accessory chemicals are added to the photocatalytic material and formed under a pasty state. The pasty material is atomized over the paved surface 12 from a spray nozzle, and a thin layer 14 composed of the photocatalytic material 10 is formed on the paved surface 12. The paved surface 12 on which the thin layer 14 is formed is rubbed by a leveling tool consisting of an elastic material such as a rubber before the fixative is solidified, and the photocatalytic material 10 adhering on the projecting section 12 of the paved surface 12 is moved into indentations 18 among the projecting 16 sections. The photocatalytic material 10 is cured up to curing, and the paved surface 12 coated with the photocatalytic layer is obtained by the curing of the photocatalytic material 10.
