PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce standby electric power irrespective of opening and closing of a door in a cooker such as an electronic cooking range. SOLUTION: A cooker comprises a power supply circuit 4 for supplying electric power to control means 3, electric power opening/closing means 5 provided between the electric power supply circuit 4 and the control means 3 for opening and/or closing electric power to the control means 3, and holding means 6 for controlling on/off of the electric power opening/closing means 5. The holding means 6 switches on the electric power opening/closing means 5 with a signal outputted from key input means 2 by key operation or a signal outputted from detection means 12, or a signal of the control means 3 when the electric power opening/closing means 5 is off, and switches off the electric power opening/closing means 5 with the signal from the control means 3 when an operation state is not changed after the electric power opening/closing means 5 on. As a result, electric power consumption in the control means 3 can be reduced irrespective of opening and closing of the door.
