PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the temperature rising of a muffler even when exhaust gas is re-burned within the muffler by the oxidation reaction of a catalyst in muffler structure for a small engine. SOLUTION: A catalyst storage case 19 in which a catalyst 12 is stored is installed within the muffler 1, and the catalyst 12 is covered double with the catalyst storage case 19 and the muffler 1. Even if the re-combustion of the exhaust gas by the oxidation reaction of the catalyst 12 is conducted within the catalyst storage case 19, the direct transmission of the temperature of the exhaust gas raised by re-combustion to the muffler 1 can be prevented, and the temperature rise of the muffler 1 caused by the recombustion of the exhaust gas can be suppressed.
