PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the efficient use of a wire and produce a decrease in fault rate by using an accumulator to support the amount of loading in applying tension to a travel path for the wire. SOLUTION: This wire saw machine comprises the front and rear accumulators 3, 5 for the wire W arranged at the front and rear stages of a cutting portion 2 of the wire saw machine, the front and rear accumulator comprising fixed pulley groups 30, 50 rotatably mounted on fixed shafts 31, 51 and elevatable pulley groups 32, 52 rotatably mounted on elevatable shafts 34, 54 elevatably arranged in opposition to the fixed shafts. The wire is alternately wound on the fixed pulleys and the elevatable pulleys and the elevatable shafts are elevatably moved by the movement of the wire and the dead weights of the elevatable pulley groups. The fixed pulley groups and the elevatable pulley groups are formed to have diameters gradually smaller as tending to the ends for convenience in changing the individual pulleys. |
