HANDLE FOR KITCHEN KNIFE, AND KITCHEN KNIFE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handle for a kitchen knife, and a kitchen knife that can prevent breakage and increase in weight of the handle and furthermore proliferation of bacteria in the handle by preventing an intrusion of water into the handle, ensures a nonslip surface and a reduced feeling of coldness, and can present a sophisticated appearance. SOLUTION: The handle for a kitchen knife comprises a blade mounting part 5 with one longitudinal end mountable with a blade, and a wooden grip part 6 extended from the blade mounting part 5 in the opposite direction to the blade. A coating 7 impermeable to water is applied to the overall surface at least except for a blade mounting surface.
