PURPOSE: A shift lever assembly of a manual transmission is provided to improve shift quality and endurance of the shift lever, and to reduce vibration and noise from the transmission by integrally extending a connecting bracket at the side of the shift lever case. CONSTITUTION: A shift lever assembly for a manual transmission is composed of a shift lever case(4) fixed in the upper part of a transmission housing(2); a shift lever(6) hinge-connected to the side of the shift lever case; and a vibration reducing unit connected between the transmission housing and the shift lever case to reduce vibration from the transmission to the shift lever. A stay bracket(20) is integrally extended, and fixed in the transmission housing to reduce vibration from the shift lever case to the shift lever in transmitting vibration from the transmission case. Shift quality is improved with minimizing vibration by forming the connecting bracket in the transmission case.
