PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an artificial nail and the obtained artificial nail are provided to easily produce a large amount of the high quality artificial nail within a short time. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing an artificial nail is comprised of steps of; forming a plurality of nail shapes(30) having different colors and patterns on the one side surface of a transparent synthetic resin sheet(20); preparing plural block parts having a die(52) and a punch(52) that one of them has plural concave portions(53) corresponding to the top surface of the nail and the other one has plural convex portions(51) corresponding to the bottom surface of the nail; and disposing the pre heated synthetic resin sheet on the die. Alternately, if the synthetic resin sheet isn't heated, the nail shapes formed on the synthetic resin sheet are compressed and molded into the artificial nail forms by moving the punch toward the die while heating the die or punch after disposing the normal synthetic resin sheet on the die.
